Jasmine Flowers
Jasmine
Jasmine is the common name by which they are known species in the genus Jasminum L., family Oleaceae, native to the Old World. Its name comes from Arabic Yasamin, which in turn was borrowed from Persian. They are mostly shrubs or vines, leaves simple or compound. Flowers are tubular, with petals patents, rarely larger than two centimeters in diameter, often very fragrant. Almost all species have white flowers, but there are some flowers yellow or pink.
